toilet in the train

today i have my first try on the toilet in the train. is the first time i used the toilet in the train. is only available for the gold coast line and really quite interesting to try. too bad din take picture.

i am in ipswich again

the weather really changing very fast. when i come out of my house it was raining for like 2 minutes and then stopped and then start again. when i reached city, the weather was quite cooling and once i reached ipswich, i felt so hot. but now it is like getting cool and maybe going to be cold.
this morning went for the broadcasting class and have some discussion with the group for the assignment 1. next week we would need to do the full rehersal and we still need to do a couple of things, like the opening sequence and decide the content to talk in our show. we had decided our programme to be called as track talk show (sound like trahs talk show) aka know as TTL. i stil creating the website and still need to work on other assignment as well... stress starting to build up liao...

the 感想 after presentation

someone happened to comment that my blog is all talking on my studies but that is what i am doing now. i just like to share with people what i am experiencing now and some of my thots. i always have thots running into my mind and sometimes i just cant rem all of them as they always come and go. i think only miss leong will understand what i mean as sometimes i will tell her something out of a sudden and next thing i say is "orrh, i forgot what i am going to say...."

anyway today is out presentation for the flash website that we are going to do. only 3 groups presented today and we are the last group. the first group did a very good job and the second group was a bit dis-organised. as for us, we started quite good and wasn't doing that good towards the end. for justin, he was constantly looking at the ground but he was an excellent speaker and can explain a lot of things. fiona was not too bad but she was holding onto her piece of paper and was commented that she dun look professional and she should use cards instead of a piece of paper. as for me, david said i was quite good in presenting tho i dun think so but i was too soft in my speech and i was constantly adjusting my jacket. (cant rem if i was or not) lastly was dusan (dush), he was reading from the paper and was being criticised by david. david did say our presentation is at the high credit range and if we could improve in our presentation, we could get a distinction or een a high distinction.

the last thing i would want to share is some minor issue during our conversation while we were waiting for david to give feedbacks on our gruop's performance. justin was saying that i should cut my hair, not sure what is the reason and he suggested that i should have shave. i told him that i had enough of shaving as i had to do that when i entered army. fiona was saying that she like my hair, cant rem why also. and then justin was saying that he wanted to go for army and stuffs and we began to talk about army things before our turn to talk to david...

the chase

we had discussion for the video assignment 1 and we also form our group consisting of 3 guys and a gal. the requirement is to have a chase scene and as we brainstormed, we really cant think of any idea. cos normally is easy to do a chasing people or chased by people scene and so we had this idea (by me) to have our main character chasing an object, for now we just make the object to be a bunch of keys. we want to have a few instances whereby the keys are being thrown around and the main character is like running to get back the keys. there woud be scenes where people look stupid and funny and have the main character to look like desperate. the story will end maybe say having the main character returning to the main spot where he lost his keys and so on. still the the conceptual stage and will need to work more on that. i had also created the storyboard and log sheet templates so that is easier for us to record down the stuffs. hope it can fun to do this assignment...

presentation is tmr!!

tmr is finally the presentation day liao. today fiona din join the discussion session but we still managed to sort a few issues. have changes in the slides and the document. not sure why i dun feel like working on the proj, maybe is because of the people? i dunno... now i am in the library at the study corner and feeling very hungry, think i will just sit here for a while and i will go and heat up my food for lunch. i still have to wait for 2pm class. yesterday i earned $25 for doing some survey. the survey consisted of a few tests all the psychology tests not so sure for what studies. (cant really rem) anyway in the end, really feel that it was quite tiring. after that i happened to meet wan ting and we went southport together. both of us wanted to go bnk but unfortunately, bank was closed and we just shopped around australia fair. in the end she bought more stuffs than me as i only bought a packet of "dao gei" and a 3L fruit juice from woolworth. feeling a bit sian now cos still have class to attend to and have to discuss on assignment for that lesson. arrgh......

sometimes i really dunno what shld i start as everytime i tend to start with "today". anyway TODAY, i finally sort of finished the documents and also the presentation slides. in the mac lab now and was joing the other group as they work on their documents and also the actual flash project. in the lab, there is this taiwanese girl who liked me also left taiwan at the age of 9. my 同乡. dun really know her name and i always call her 台湾人. she is working on illustrator. din really care abt her too much but i am really glad that i could at least take a short break over the weekend. think i would have to buy my groceries tmr. mon i will need to meet dr karen to talk abt the game study survey. so on sun, i could enjoy f1 and then wake up early on mon to go for the study survey. then will have to prepare for the presentation. sian ar....

我累了

is really quite depressing today. it is supposed to be a day to prepare presentation for next week's flash class but the other group members din even prepare anything for the discussion. so today, i had to show a bit of my temper and asked them to work out some stuffs. the documents were about to finish after like 5 hourse of work. next is the screenshots, and i remembered i did tell my designer to work out the images at home but when i asked him, he said he will work on the spot. i was exetremely angry with the way my group members work as i feel that they are very slack and dun seem to be concentrating on the work but would think of leaving early and discussing on some unrelated topics. the designers took also abt 5 hours to complete the 8 screenshots but in actual fact, they can be done the most 2 hours. the documentations shld actually be done before hand but the person who is supposed to do that only do like 20% of the thing. the supposed to be team leader was talking craps and sometimes dun really know what he is trying to do. in the end, i was the one who is worried abt all the things and i even went on to do up the presentation slides. i was supposed to be the programmer but in the end i am like doing all the jobs. i even have to cover the designing parts and i am really tired of this...

the class for the day is on live broadcasting and is something i roughly know what is going on. i had experience in the camera works but not really know how to use the vision mixer and also the broadcasting softwares. i gotta be in front of camera talking crap also and is really my first time in front of the camera. we were talking about the crappy show "snake on plane". i wonder why this kind of show can still market out sia, not say the snake very worth the money or what. anyway stupid show, if anyone watch the show liao can discuss about it. i also looked at the new mac book pro today from one of the students from my course and i now really hope to change my powerbook to a mac book pro but no money leh. some one pls help me with this. is really cool as it is able to boot osx and win xp within the same machine. i think the next time i were to buy a new com, i would choose the 20 inch imac as i really like the design and is really good to put at home as i can use mac and sometimes change to pc to use 3d studio max. my mum and sister can also use the pc to work on more advanced stuffs, like photoshop or other softwares. my com can act as a server and think can mainly use for bt or as a storage device. maybe can just played my classic games on that and play warcraft with my frens using imac. i really hope i can try to play dota on the imac screen... so if anyone wanna sponsor me with all the stuffs, please contact me. and also now i am waiting for the comic books to come. dun forget is a aggreement for 10 books hor.....

testing lah

we are the best unit in metro...

today is again a very tiring day dunno why i would always feel exhausted after the flash class. the class this morning was again a preparation for next week as we have to present to the whole class what we had done, what are the things that we would be working on and etc. so today when we gathered for the meeting, my grop dun seem to have a lot of their things done and so after the class, i stayed back to work on quite a lot of the documentations wheich were not supposed to be my job. i also have to prepared some of the key things that would be needed for the presentation and the presentation has to be done in flash not powerpoint. i worked until 3+ and decided to go home as i am feeling a bit of headache. when i came home, i went to buy some biscuit and my full cream milk and also cooked some noodle as i have yet eaten my lunch. just a while after i finished my noodle and washed the dishes, margrett, the manager of the place that i lived in, came to congratuate me and my housemates that we won the best unit. i was quite surprised cos my place wasn't that clean until can win prize but i did realised that when i got home, all the utensils were being kept in the drawers and all the detergents were also being hidden in the cupboard. the floor was also being mopped, not sure if is just my imagination but i do feel that there is a difference in the floor. think maybe is my african housemate who made the effort to clean the house. maybe that is the reason that i hear vaccum cleaner's noise b4 i left the house today. anyway, is kind of funny as this is the first time we got this kind of things...

tired~

today's lesson is pretty heavy as is a 2hr+ of theory to absorb. anyway after the class, i found something interesting on the notice board outside the lab. one of the articles is looking for gamers for their research and would pay $10 an hr. was quite interested in that and maybe will tell my other friends if they are interested in this or not. is really sounds intereting as can make some money out of it sia. another thing is that i saw this poster on a few lectures on the 30th aug and the first lecturer is my last sem lecturer and i think i shall be going for that lecture next week to support her. hope it will be fun and is really been such a long time since i last sit in her class. i just like the way she teaches... now i am waiting for the 5pm bus to go back home and i am really sleepy and have to think of what to cook for later. now i am also waiting for my fren to confirm with me on when she got back to singapore. really miss her cos is really a very long time since i last saw her and i just hope i can squeeze her fatty tummy when i see her. hope she can get used to singapore once again and get ready to work in sep.

my trip home

today once again i spent around 4 hrs travelling. set off at 1140 and reach helensvale @ 1430 and went for some shopping and return home around 1620. the groceries today seem to be a bit too much and i think i injured my left hand cos of the heavy load over a long period of time. think my back also a bit pain as i was carrying my big salomon bag with all my clothes and other accessories. i had prepared the meat for tonight's dinner and would be trying out some new things later on. anyway, today i bought a pack of sausages to try cos of the sausages that i ate on saturday so i decided to buy some and try to cook and eat. hope it can be nice also. all my groceries are from woolworth and it is having a lot of discount and just nice i need some of the things and that is why i spent quite a lot today.

was on our way to go for lunch and was stopped by someone who is holding on a camera. she offered to take a photo for us and we just take it cos is free, why not. in the end, we still managed to get 2. haha... then we also went to grab free sausages and is freaking nice.

the trip to ipswich

was feeling bored and that is why i just took out my phone and start to take a picture from the bus stop behind my house. i was waiting for the bus to go to harbour town and then change again at harbour town and then to the train station. i would need to take about 1 hr to reach city. was quite funny yesterday, when i reached harbour town's bus stop, while waiting at the bus stop, there was this asian girl sitting beside me. both of us were waiting for the bus to go to the train station. she had bought some stuffs from harbour town and the strange thing is that, she din buy clothes and stuffs but what she bought was some groceries. i felt a bit funny as normally when people come to harbour town, they only come for the clothes and not food. so i thot she was like living somewhere near. when i reached the train station, i saw her alighting also, and i thot maybe she is living in other surburb and then just get here groceries in harbour town. i then decide not to think so much and went to the toilet at the westfield shopping centre as the toilet at the station was closed. after that i went stratight to the station to wait for my 4pm train. so when the train came, i boarded the tain and sat on the handicapped seat and most of the seats were being occupied. then next thing was that, the same girl came sitting right beside me, with all her groceries. eventually, she went all the way and alighted only at roma street which is in the city area and that is after an hour's train. roma street was the station that i usually alight and changed train to go ipswich but yesterday i had taro to fetch me in central so i alight one more station after roma street. until now i still cant figure whey that girl needs to buy groceries in harbour town and went all the way back to city and then back to her home...

the flash class

today i have been working for the main page of our group's website and is feeling a bit of headache now. the headache usually comes when i stress myself too much. i felt great as i had been uqite lazy this few weeks and was unable tobring myself to work on my assignments. now i do feel more like working on things. in the class today, i seem to be upgraded as the team leader as the rest of the group were drifting away from the discussion. i dun usually like to do this kind of job by ordering people to do things but today, i did feel a bit of piss as i dun think we can finish our stuff before the due dates. 2 weeks later, we will need to submit the documents and give a presentation and we still have heaps of things to be done. but at least we have decided to have something done by the following week. will continue to plan out the schedule and the task for each individual. one thing i must comment is that the design is really cool. it was designed by our designer and i really like the look and feel. thumbs up for him and hope he can continue to work on more for the next week.

the videos were introduced to me by my lecturer from the digital broadcasting as he used one of the videos to demostrate how bmw distribute their commericals through web. it was something special as nobody had tried this before. after i watched some of the series, i was really amazed by how they took some of the shots and the commericals or movies are really cool and really push the bmw to its limit.

densha de go...

densha de go or Let's Go by Train (電車でGo!, Densha de Go!) is a popular Japanese train simulation game series produced by Taito.
i rem i only tried to play it in the arcade once but din know how to play. after that i din have chance to try it. after i tried on my psp, i realised that once u roughly know how to play and it could be quite fun and enjoyable to play. just some of the things like, accel until 100km/h and start to brake at ard 400m to the stopping point, and then release the brake at when speed is down to 30km/h. lastly let it roll until ard 50m and start to control the braking until the correct stopping point. really a fun game to try...

today da 14 aug

today i have no class but i am feeling a bit lazy. was intending to go school to do some tutorial but in the end i cancelled the idea. in the end i stay home for the whole day and started to play densha de go. still trying to understand what it is saying as is in jap and i hardly understand. but most of the time i just skip and get into the gameplay instead. have been laying on the bed thinking what to do as i am really bored. bored by the thick flash book which i have to take some of the codes and integrate into my flash. was too lazy to go out and also if i go out i scare i will spend $$ so better stay home. i think i will just continue to play the new densha de go~

刚才我终于去讲了我的室友，告诉他把碗洗一洗。最近发现他有懒惰的现象，于是决定提醒他要把厨房给我保持干净。只希望他能持续下去，不然就会和我上学期的室友一样的脏。

悶saturday

is really a boring saturday as i am too lazy to do anything. my housemate is really weird as after i come back from my groceries, my housemate went out also. not sure where he go as the time he left is abt 5+ and most of the shops are closed at that time esp on sat. not sure hong long he went out alsobut when he came back, he was panting very heavily like he just murdered someone lydat. he went to bathe just now and dunno why he need to on music for so loud, think maybe he scared bathroom got what to scare him... really feel that he is a 怪人...

my housemate

not sure why i am having this kind of feeling that my housemate is following what i am doing. is letting me to feel wierd. it all begins when i realised that if i chose to wash the bowls right after i cooked, i would see my housemate also doing the same thing and if i wash my bowls and stuff only after i eat, then he will also follow. today he vacuum the floor and did some of the cleaning and i am not saying he is wrong or what is just that he dun do cleaning and also i did vacuum my room just yesterday. he also did what i did, i mean the same areas. when i work up today, i saw him watching tv in the living room and normally he dun watch the tv as he would like to watch his shows in the room. watching shows in the room is also following my normal routine. i felt a bit freaky as he only saw me watching tv yesterday sitting on the sofa and he also followed the same way as i did. he din seem to follow what my other housemate was doing as maybe the housemate is usually missing somewhere in this planet. this freaky housemate is a korean and he seem to have quite unusual behaviours. he also buy the same kind of things that i buy... hai~ dunno what to say liao. anyway gotta go to do some shopping for the coming week's meal...

is digital commerce lesson again

fri is always my tired day as i would need extra attention for the lecture as well as the tutorial. the lecturer would give a lot of info every class asd expect us to concentrate for almost 2hrs. i think most of the class just lost concentration half way as is really very tired. well... as for the class, we have to come out with a marketing plan and the 1st assignment is to do up a 3000 words essay for that and how we are going to implement a product and market it digitally. i have some idea in mind but i just hate to do all the writing and stuff. hai~ anyway today i met up with my group and took some pictures for our flash project and was quite fun as we put on the doctor's coat and act like one. the pictures would be needed for the credit page and think also the splash page. i would also hope to see the design for the website that would be done by the designer and hope is something really cool. this weekend i would be staying at my place and not going anyway and hope to do some tutorial for my digital broadcast and also have to read through the notes for my digital commerce and also have to pen down some of the idea and implementation for the assignment. have to 加油 for the weekend and burn some midnight oil liao...

i-dsi vs vtec in honda

today i was looking surfing around and finally found out the difference between the i-dsi and vtec engines. both of them are made by honda and i-dsi is a newer engine that honda made for the jazz for singapore. basically vtec is the honda trademark engine that is known to be powerful and fuel efficient. vtec works in a way where extra power will come in when the rev reached a certain level. in jazz, from what i read, vtec engine are more powerful when the rev is 3000rpm and above. the new i-dsi however is more powerful at lower rpm but would not be able to match up with the power of vtec when in high rev. in term of practical use, i do think that the i-dsi engine is better as normally the cars on the road dun rev up over 3000rpm and probably this is the main reason for honda to come out with this new engine. however, vtec engines are still very powerful and i love it more than the vvti engine by toyota. however honda is usually more ex compared to the fellow japanese cars among the same categories and i hope this could be change... cos i like honda!!!

today my group continued to discussed on our flash website. we will be doing a website to sell ogans online and we had a hard time brainstorming as we were dealing with some moral as well as legal issues. is really interesting as we are enjoying the discussion. i have to find out how to use flash to communicate with asp to send sms to mobile phones. it will be difficult but i hope i can find some info on the web and use it for the proj. will showcase the website for "patient" to test when is done... 拭目以待吧！！

~ fried noodle ~

today's dinner is fried noodle and basically i took some meat, vege and noodle and mixed them together to fry. have the noodle be cooked first, marinate the meat and then fried all together. was wanting to take some pictures but i forgot due to hunger... on the whole is still ok but can be improved. shld be considered a success for today's dinner.

updating me and powerbook...

in school now and have to wait until 6pm for my bus. in the meantime, just do some updates. dunno why feel like eating ice cream, just the mac's ice cream cone. i ony had it once in aussie, forgot what is called here but i had it just before going up the mt cootha and is the day that is very cold. now i am taking my powerbook to do some updatings in school so that i wun used my quota at home as the updates are rather large in size. was also trying to update my phone just now but failed again. have everything installed but my phone just refused to update, what can i do... -_-lll anyway is 5.30pm now and i hope i can finish my updating before the bus come and hope i can reach the bus stop before the bus leaves. was quite fun having hands on playing with video camera, just let me remember the army days where i took the camera and go around filming. today i was doing the filming as well and was a struggling with some of the functions in the camera as most of the functions are new. but many of the features are pointless for example the auto fade in and out. i just think is stupid and ridiculous. i still prefer the bigger camera which i used in film unit as they provide more stability but they are heavy. so i just did some panning shots and some static shots and called it for the day as only 40+ minutes were allocated to us to do the filming. and the clips will be used for next week to do logging and some editing. !!! i forgot to take my meat out from the freezer and i will have to go back and start to de-frost them or else i would have to eat instant noodle liao... i think i would have to start deciding what to eat for tonight, not sure if i wanna cook some nice or just have some simple noodle. hai~ just hope someone can do the cooking for me so that i dun need to worry so much. anyway my updates are finished and can go home anytime i want. feeling tired now... *yawn~

my thots for da day

just finished eating my dinner and also clean up the stove. the stove was so dirty and oily. i wonder how the other 2 housemates can take it. just very surprised that there are people who just refused to be clean and tidy. one of the housemate would cook and made the stove very oily as droplets of oil can been seen on the stove. the other housemate would eat maggie mee for everyday meal. serioulsy i dunno why he liked eating so much and also how he can tolerate the same taste everyday. even i would feel sick and also will ganna scolding from ny dear fren. now i in aussie liao and she cant be angry with me as she dunno what i cook everyday. haha... can eat as much as i like. this week is the thrid week and about 10 more weeks, i would finish my first year here. i hope i can move on fast not because i wanna to go back to singapore but i really hope i can work on some of the projects foor my assignments. anyway i am feeling so full now, have pasta for dinner plus some vege and some meat. very simple cooking and settled for the meal. for this sem, i have to cook for myself again. was initially hoping to get someone who can cook and ask the person to stay together so that at least the meal would not be a problem. i sometimes really dun feel like cooking and will end up not eating. tmr is afternoon class, no need to wake up early and can sleep a bit more. hope i can settle the group for tmr's class for my time based video 1. i just hope my army frens can be here studying with me then he can help me do all the editing and i can do like shooting. i still have to read up on how to use flash to link up with asp or xml or whatever to do the database. pls help me if anyone knows how or at least advise me.

census form... (dun ask me what is that)

today i travelled for about 3 hrs in bus and then train and bus again from ipswich back to gold coast. i stop by at harbour town to buy some groceries for the week. on my way back, i saw a 86-levin beside when the bus stopped in a traffic. the car had a changed muffler but besides that i din managed to see much as the bus went off at the green light. when i got home, i was told by my housemate that i got something to fill up. i took the envelope and went to my room to put my things down. i then unpack the things that i had bought earlier on and also prepared some of the things for my dinner. next i rushed out to buy milk as i was thinking of cooking pasta for dinner as my whipping cream is to be expired today. when i got to the supermarket outside, i cant find the usual full cream milk that i always buy and i just got the lesser cream and more ex one. so i come home and quickly read through the census form. it was a few pages of paper requesting for personal information. the form was also advertised on the tv to ask the people to fill up their info and never would i expect myself to be filling up the form. i took some time to fill up the form and really think is so stupid. the whole thing just ask to fill up name, address, age, bday, marital status, where u stayed a year ago and 5 years ago, what you studying now, what is the highest level of qualification and blah blah blah... sickening... well, i just filled up as much as i can and just pass back to the management. i wonder if i will be doing all this again next year or not?

updating my phone...

i have been deciding whether to update my phone's firmware. it has been quite somettime since the latest firmware for my phone had launched. but i din want to update due to a few reasons and finally when i decided to update, things just happened and hindered my updating process... i can only suck thumb and say sianhalf lor. now i am in uq library since internet is slow at home. later in the afternoon, there will be soccer and hope it will be fun and hope i dun get injured. still have to find out how to use flash to work with asp or xml or whatever. i also need to bring my powerbook to go to my school to update. hai~ is so inconvinient without fast internet and hope i can manage to cope woth the slow network.

i am so power today...

today i was wearing only a shirt with a jacket and had a scarf on. for the bottom i was only wearing bermudas and slippers. at about 11+ the temperature dropped until 10 and was going down constantly.dunno why when i prepare to go out, i will always happened to go out. somemore we still went to mt cootha for dunno what reason and i was shivering as my feet are really freezing. it was 12+ and when the wind blew, i really wanna cry... now i am home and after the hot bathe, i feel so shiok...

my update today

i am now on my way to brisbane… sitting opposite me are 2 girls from singapore around my age busying gossiping. they really very tingapore, nothing much to say. today’s class is on digital commerce and is the second class on the semester. till now i still dun understand what i am being expected for this class and i also dun really understand what he is trying to teach. the course is a business course and is the first time that i have come in contact into business. just remember that i studied design and i really know nuts about business. cut back to the 2 girls sitting in front of me, they are really annoying, talking in singapore slang. well, i am not against singapore slang, just that i just dislike that they talk and boasting. so about 30 mins, i will reach brisbane and today’s travel is quite a random one. initially was just wanting to go over to my sister’s place but then i was told to meet her in city and have dinner outside with her friends and then follow them back. -_- have to spend money again and i am broke. today i managed to find a guy from singapore to group with me for the digital broadcasting. he said he liked to do editing and i can do camera since i had experience in my army days running around filming and shooting. so i would be the camera man again. over the weekend, i still have to find more information on asp, xml and how they incoporate with flash. i hope i could really pick up programming real fast so that i can make the website workable in order to get a good mark for my assignments. i really hope to get some distinctions for this semester as i am still upset at the fact that i din manage to get any for last semester. i hope i also can managed my time well especially during the last part of the semester when all the works are due. the 2 girls in front of me finally quietened down, what a relief. haha… me gossip right in front of them and but behind their back. oh!! this weekend, there is f1 on, at least i got some entertainment over the weekend. hope alonso wun win so that the ferrari could catch up. still about 12 mins more before i reach the station… well, i guess i just have to wait patiently lor…

“做”自己

today's class

today's class is on digital broadcasting. it was getting more interesting as we test out real-time streaming together with some basic transition between the live stream and the pre-recorded stuffs. just hope it will get more and more interesting as it goes as in the end of the semester, i would need to be able to broadcast a live event over the internet and could be view world-wide (i guess).
