internet down...

today internet was down for me... first thing come to my mind was the new modem and router cos think yesterday the starhub boy came my house and changed them. recently due to the starhub promo so re-contract and brcause my mum was wanting it. surprising... anyway got 2 new toys free. had some setup yesterday cos my old router got some sercurity settings so i did the same setup for the new network.

anyway today after my internet come back, i was reading on tweaking the bittorrent and now after some tweaking, my download from nothing now to 100kb/s. really a great difference sia... was glad to see the result cos the last time also dun have this kind of speed.

think tmr my internet speed will up to 12mbs... dunno how fast will the download speed be? quite looking forward to it... think will be playing it later after midnight.

last few days was driving... had the chance to drive auto and manual cars... now i really love driving manual car cos is so fun and i really like controling the engine rev and the power. but i think manual car is fun only if the car is of a certain power cos i like to feel the engine brake. another thing is that i really feel so much safer using engine brake or maybe i just enjoy listening to the engine.

this christmas period...

this few days have been rather tired cos have been driving around fetching people. felt quite tired after continuous driving for a few trips. have been driving a manual car since yesterday and now leg a bit tired. but it was fun cos long time never drive manual car liao. was still not really used driving the manual car cos have been driving auto car. i quite like driving manual car cos can play with engine brake and can control the rev and power i want. however, i do feel quite stress cos the car's brake and accelator are so closed together and sometimes i wanting to step on the brake but i think i stepped onto the accelator as well so was quite stressed. but thankfully i am still ok and still haven meet any accident. hope i wun meet any also...

slacking...

today was quite strange, woke up at 6+ in the morning and was unable to sleep for quite some time. was quite unusual as normally i would wake up at abt 9 plus and then start to do my personal thingy. today just a bit weird... anyway din really do anything today, just slack at home. was sending msg to hitomi just now and she told me that she was having fun in japan as she went to some candy house. she had eaten a lot cos she loves those sweet things. think today just update all the computers including hitomi's. her com dunno why just cant use internet explorer 7 and in the end i just revert back and re-update her com.

my mum was saying that the internet fee was higher than the previous month and so i told her that last time cos got contract so is cheaper. then she asked me to go signup another contract cos we will still be using the internet. anyway did went to check up the offers and was quite happy that they have some good offers so maybe tmr i would just go out and take a look lor.

つかれた... super tired...

this few days i have been taking the medicine for my running nose and realised that after taking the medicine, i feel drowsy and i will sleep for a while. the doctor still tell me that i can 放心 take the mdeicine cos is not drowsy ones. but my nose had really stopped dripping liao and is really different from the past weeks.

today finally is not raining but i felt a bit lazy to go out. dunno why sia... just feel very tired maybe is cecause of the medicine. my head just feel giddy. but i think i would need to buy a card and send to hitomi cos she did said she sent me a card yesterday liao. think have to send her one fast. maybe i just go sembawang and see bah then still have to go to a post office to buy stamps and send.

sigh~ i am feeling so lazy now...

rain and rain

have been raining this few days liao, think is due to the monsoon season bah. the rain is really big rain and was driving and was quite stressed cos really cant see anything in front. not only that, the rain is quite annoying cos need to bring umbrella whenever got go out. then sometimes if never bring then have to walk in the rain liao lor. quite sian. but i think also good lah cos the rain also brings down the hot weather in sg.

this morning went to see the doctor cos of my running nose and the receptionist said that she cant recognise me liao. haha... did i change so much? anyway was glad that now my nose is quite ok after taking the medicine liao. hope i can get well soon.

some updates

this was taken yesterday when we had dinner at caleb's place. it was great as we had a good gathering. glad to see shuen before she goes back to america. the biscuit we were holding is made by her.

today me and caleb went to the nike sales. the show supposed to start at 12 and we reached there around 12 and already got heaps of people lining up. crazy sia... then we just go eat lunch cos no choice then after that go see furniture. later we went to tampines mall to just walk walk lor then just see what to buy for caleb's china trip. after that come back to yishun and just shop also then went home liao.

getting the old ibook work

today met deborah to get her ibok done cos she said she wanna use microsoft office on the ibook. the last time i did tried to install office into her mac but cos i dunno her version of mac cant use the latest microsoft office. so she said she dun mind upgrading her system. we met at borders then go to the apple shop there to upgrade the ram as well as buying a new os(operating system). unfortunately, the ram is outdated and the os is out of stock. so we were advised to go to funan to get the stuffs. took a taxi over and went to level 5 to a place call memory land or something like that. was glad that we were able to get a 512 ram and then we went straight to apple shop. the shop got the os and we quickly get it. so after that we went for lunch at ajisan and had ramen.

at night i started to install the os into the ibook and hope to finish the job asap. so i inserted the disc into the disc drive and then i realised that it was not reading and then i thot need to restart one but after restart nothing happened also. then i realised that the os is in dvd but the old ibook is only a cd drive. so i was like arrgghhhh.... i then felt paniced cos deborah had spent all the money and then i cant do the job for her and somemore i still got a treat from her. then i go and look for internet and after a some research and i found this thing of linking up the 2 com by firewire and then just make the ibook appeared as a firwire harddisk. and then i inserted the os disc into my powerbook and then i install from there. so after like half an hour, the installation was done and i was glad that the ibook got a new os.

then i restarted my powerbook also after everything had been done. so was wanting to open azureus and normally i would open from spotlight. but then i realised that the spotlight was not working as before. i was like oh no..... and now still searching for the answer but i am really feeling very tired think i will have to find it tmr. another solution might be reinstalling the new os cos i think that some of the things i also never used and maybe this is a good time for me to reformat the powerbook and then rearrange all my stuffs. so i just install the things that i need and keep it to the minimum and before that i would have to backup all my things into somewhere, probably just use network transfer to my desktop but dunno how long it would take. think during the transfer time, i would continue to search online. sigh~ so sian... mendokusai...

anyway i had received msg from hitomi that she had arrived in japan liao but too bad i din have the chance to speak to her cos i was out when she msg me. not sure if she will come online tmr or not.

1st dec post

today went to expo to help tze wei look for her thing. she passed me $60 to help her buy thumbdrive. she requested to buy the toshiba one cos she used liao and quite like it. so she said anything under 60 just buy lor. when we got there, really got a lot of people lor, like the whole of singapore is there lor. went to see cars first and was super happy to see an enzo ferrari and a classic 911. super cool... then went on to the pc fair lor to help tze wei see her thing. we saw a lot of prices and as we walked, the prices decreases and finally bought the thing at 53.50, which is way below budget and was like the lowest among all. then after that we go off liao lor. met hao min at raffles place then we went yishun for dinner. we ate indian food and was really nice cos i also long time no eat those kind of food liao. tmr still have to go out buy some accessories. now waiting for the warcraft patch to download and then want to set up and play dota with frens.

natsukashii...

haha today saw this toy, it was really nostalgic (natsukashii)... used to play this thing when iw as young. not sure if got anyone still remember this thing or not...

haha... now talking on the phone at the same time writing blog. cyndi is now playing the piano as she talks to me, quite power. i really think that she amazed me, really got the 士别三日，刮目相看。she is like practising very hard, keep on playing and playing.

well... this tze wei really wanna kick her sia, help her download the video and now she said she accidently deleted it. then was actually wanting to meet her for catch up session but then last minute she said cant meet me liao. sigh~ hate this kind of feeling.
